Significant Collection of Specimen Bonsai Trees For Sale
We're parting with our bonsai collection.
About 30 years ago, on a late summer Saturday, I was lying in my hammock when my wife, Pam, said, "Lets go to the state fair". Now, I'd rather run naked down Main Street than go to the fair - not my idea of a good time, but, I needed husband points so I said, "Yes, dear". We ended up at the bonsai exhibit and that began a 30 year love affair with bonsai.
Since then it's been a matter of more and more bonsai trees.
If you do the math you'll figure out that I'm no longer a spring chicken. The trees seem to get bigger and pots heavier every year. Over the years we've learned from bonsai masters like Susumu Nakamura, John Naka, Toshio Saburomaru, Chase Rosade, and many others. These guys teach you to make big trees. If you stop to think about it, when you finish a round of golf all you end up with is a score card. You can get 300 of those in a shoe box. But, if you're a bonsai artist when you're done with a tree you have another tree. Three hundred bonsai trees take up the whole back yard. We're running out of space and energy. It's time to start paring things down.
Over the years much of our collection has seen been on HGTV, Discovery Channel, PBS, books and magazines. It's hard to see our "friends" go, but, the time has come to reduce the bonsai collection to a managable level. We invite you to take a look. If you see something you like, give us a call and we'll tell you all about it. Welcome to our garden.
