This trident maple bonsai was field grown by the monks at Monastery Bonsai about 18 years ago. We happened to drop by just when they were unloading the maples from the field. It is now starting to get textured bark. It is well proportioned with a muscular trunk. The leaves dwarf well especially when it has been leaf pruned. Fall color is usually quite vibrant.
