When we went to our first bonsai workshop we were so excited with the starter juniper that we stopped at a nursery on the way home and bought a couple more junipers to practice on. This Japanese garden juniper bonsai may have been one of those. This cascade has been a bonsai for about 30 years. Even after having gone through a few restylings over the years the foliage has assumed the mature scale form. Please notice the powerful trunk and descender. The Japanese garden junipers are robust, hardy, and forgiving. The overall height is 17".
