SOLDPonderosa pine, Pinus ponderosa var ponderosaWe've all heard of semi-cascade trees. This ponderosa pine bonsai actually was one. On a collecting trip in the early '90's we saw this tree peeking over a high rock dome. At the top of the dome there it was hanging over in full majesty. This bonsai has beautiful rugged bark with nice shari and jin. Based on terminal bud scale scars this bonsai is well over 200 years old. The pot is a Sara Rayner original. The overall height is 25".
