Shimpaku juniper, Juniperus chinensis var shimpaku

Bonsai master Mas Ishii is famous for his kishu shimpaku junipers. He would usually graft kishu foliage to some other juniper variety. I bought this bonsai from him in 1986 (for about the price of a decent used car). I have tried to maintain his concept for this tree. In 2008 master Suthin Sokosolvisit helped me restore it to the early pictures. The tree is very healthy and vigorous. By adding agricultural lime to the soil I keep the foliage emerald green. The pot is from potter Max Braverman. It has a beautiful black glaze that sets to tree off to advantage.

The overall height is 16", from soil surface 13".

The price includes all packaging, handling, and shipping charges, a $250.00 value. Your bonsai will be packed in a sturdy container filled with styrofoam peanuts and strapped to a pallet. We ship via UPS Freight. By shipping in this manner we have had no damage to trees or pots. You'll also end up with enough peanuts to take care of your Christmas needs for several years.
