 SOLD White Cedar
In Minnesota white cedar is a favorite deer food. During the winter deer will feed on cedar branches from the snow line to their head height. We have a bunch of funny looking cedars that have branches on the bottoms and the tops with a six foot swath of clear trunk. This was one of those. I just cut off the tops and styled the lower branches. The tree is legitimately old; they grow slowly in the bogs and I've had it for 20 years. While it looks like a tenuki the live veins are very real. The dead wood has been treated with wood hardener at soil level to protect it from deterioration.
