In order to get your bonsai where it needs to go we will pack it well, insure it, and ship it to your specification. Unless stated, the sales price includes packaging in corrugated boxes and UPS ground delivery.

Smaller trees will be packed in a heavy duty corrugated box. The tree will be set on a bed of packing peanuts and then the box will be filled with peanuts. The pot will be encased in a plastic bag to retain soil moisture. Packed this way the tree will hold for several days. UPS ground service has proven to be dependable. As an added bonus, you will end up with enough peanuts to handle Christmas presents for yourself, relatives, and neighbors for several years.

Larger trees may be crated in plywood and shipped on a pallet. We ship those via UPS Freight. The sales price includes you picking up at the UPS terminal. If you want delivery to your home, UPS charges around $75 (that charge is not included in the sales price).

We will usually ship on Mondays to avoid your tree sitting in a terminal over a weekend. We also will try to ship with the weather forecast in mind.

We can try to personally deliver your tree on a casual basis. We can try to work out a mutually convenient place to meet, such as a convention or common destination. Or, you are welcome to pick it up. We live in Minnesota. It's a nice drive and we don't have rattlesnakes, cottonmouths, copperheads, alligators, fire ants, or killer bees. Just don't come in January.
